Travel vaccinations

Stay healthy when travelling abroad.

Please book at least 12 weeks before you travel

We ask for at least 12 weeks' notice before your travel date. This gives us time to assess what vaccinations you need, order any vaccines that are not held in stock, and get you booked in for your appointment. Some vaccines also require more than one dose given weeks apart, so the earlier you contact us the better.

Plan ahead before you travel

Some countries require or recommend vaccinations before you visit. Requirements vary depending on your destination, the time of year, and your personal health history. We will help you work out what you need.

Vaccinations available on the NHS

Some travel vaccinations are available free on the NHS. These include:

  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid
  • Cholera
  • Some meningitis vaccines

Vaccinations not available on the NHS

Some vaccinations are not available on the NHS and must be paid for privately. These include yellow fever, rabies, Japanese encephalitis and tick-borne encephalitis. We can advise you on where to get these.
