Support for carers

Help and information if you are caring for a family member, friend or neighbour.

Are you a carer?

A carer is anyone who looks after a family member, partner or friend who needs help because of their illness, frailty, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction. Carers are not always recognised or supported. We want to help.

How we can help

  • Register you as a carer on your medical record
  • Offer a carer's health check
  • Refer you to a carer's assessment through the local authority
  • Connect you with local carer support services
  • Provide letters and documentation to support your caring role
